I'm the Senior Publications Manager at Datassential, a Chicago-based group of food lovers that combine market research with creative insight in order to understand the "what" and the "why" behind our food choices. What are chefs menuing? Why are people eating at food halls? What is the next sriracha?
As the head of the TrendSpotting team, I oversee the company's seven food trend magazines. We cover food trends in the U.S. and around the world and combine it all with market research to form a complete picture of what's happening in our food culture. We also design, research, and publish a wide variety of custom food publications for clients; lead food trend immersion tours around the country; and work one-on-one with companies to make informed decisions about new products, menu ideas, concepts, and marketing initiatives.
